We asked one of the first Fever Dream buyers to review it for us. Here’s what he thought.

Tom Young on Fever Dream The Musical – “Everyone needs to catch this fever”

“Bursting at the seams with pant wetting action, the debut film from the boys at Zion will not only shock, amuse and entertain, It will also welcome you to a collective of unseen footage desperate for the attention it so rightfully deserves.

For anyone that’s seen Flux, a promo DVD introducing Zion Wetsuits to the bodyboarding world issued with Riptide magazine back in November 2009, you’ll be frothing to know that Zion have now produced their debut film.

Fever Dream – The Musical, to put it bluntly, is friggin’ sick. The angles are insane, I even had to put some cushions under my chin to prevent it from dropping anymore. It’s raised the standard of surf videography hugely and it makes me wonder if this kind of footage can be bettered.

Boasting a unique soundtrack, with tracks specifically produced for the DVD by music mastermind Russell W. it will literally be audio you’ve never heard before.

A personal favourite section of this DVD has got to be the “Summer of Koot.” Without saying too much, this features some epic footage of James “Koot” Kayley that will have you laughing whilst thanking God that you aren’t in his situation with some of the waves that he tackles.

Fever Dream is different to any other bodyboarding flick I’ve seen in the past, furthermore, I can honestly say it’s one of the best bodyboarding films I’ve seen and I’m stoked to have a copy.

I could talk about this film for ages, but I don’t want to give too much away. All I can say is get out there and get yourself a copy, It’s worth every hard earned penny.”
